The County of Grey operates three Long Term Care homes including Grey Gables in Markdale, Rockwood Terrace in Durham and Lee Manor located in Owen Sound.

We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Registered Dietitian to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and provide nutritional care for residents in this unique dual home position. The position includes 28 hours bi-weekly at Rockwood Terrace, Durham and 22.5 hours bi-weekly at Lee Manor Owen Sound (total 50.5 hours bi-weekly). The successful candidate will have the ability to provide additional coverage to support vacation, statutory holidays and other absences.

Rockwood Terrace (Durham) is home to 100 residents.  The position includes 28 hours bi-weekly as the Clinical Dietitian with duties as outlined in the County of Grey job description.

Lee Manor (Owen Sound) is home to 150 residents. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the full-time Nutrition Manager from an operational and clinical perspective to fulfill the operational requirements of the dietary department.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited university and a one year internship in an accredited program
• Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a long term care facility
• Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate interventions in nutritional care for a LTC setting including but not limited to dementia, dysphagia, tube feeding, weight management, wound treatment, diabetes, renal disease, food allergies and intolerances
• Experience with RAI-MDS and electronic documentation an asset
