Food & Beverage Manager

POSITION:  Food & Beverage Manager
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Food and Beverage Manager is accountable to manage all aspects of the food and beverage department through effective planning, direction and control, to meet the nutritional needs of the Residents in accordance with legislative requirements and Specialty Living standards.

The Food and Beverage Manager is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the core values and employee guiding principles, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a diploma in Food and Beverage Management / Hospitality Management from a recognized college or Red Seal designation;
  • Must hold a valid Safe Food Handling Certificate and Smart Serve certificate;
  • 3 years management experience in hospitality or Retirement home sector preferred;
  • Must possess excellent supervisory and leadership abilities in the areas of human resources;
  • Must possess good public relations and communication skills;
  • Experience in large quantity food, catering and special event preparation;
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel;
  • Must express initiative, good judgment and foster a positive work atmosphere.
