There are changes happening within the Ontario Society of Nutrition Management. In celebrating our 35th anniversary in Sep- tember, we remembered our beginnings and the accomplishments over the past three and a half decades. The challenge facing OSNM as we move forward for our next 35 years is adapting in a constantly changing world. As Nutrition Managers we will strive to provide quality, compassionate care with limited resources; we will struggle with the implementation of IDDSI; we will advocate with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for hours and funding; and we will continue to be at the forefront of nutrition management. We need to accept the challenge to adapt, to change, to grow and to prosper. Change is uncomfortable. Thinking “outside of the box” is difficult. This year we give ourselves permission to change, to review and to learn. Our goal is to renew, reinvent and revitalize the Ontario Society of Nutri- tion Management. I invite all members to become part of change. This year promises to be a ‘wild ride’ as we move towards rejuvenation. My challenge to all members is to join in and participate! Let the Executive and Board know how you would like to see the OSNM evolve. The Ontario of Society Nutrition Management is your organization. Accept the challenge of ownership.
